Magic Generator Pack
![]() |
When did magic stop being magical? If you're like most DMs¸ about the seventieth time you had to come up with a list of components for a spell¸ design a dark ritual for insane cultists¸ or describe an ominous portal to planes unknown.
Magic is supposed to have that little something extra. That spark of arcane luminescence that makes your spell component list look different from your grocery list. Magic should be mysterious¸ dangerous¸ and never quite what you expect. But after months of running the same campaign¸ how are you supposed to keep that up?
That's where the Magic Pack comes in. Roll up spell component lists¸ ritual descriptions¸ and arcane glyphs and runes¸ all with the click of a button.
Detailed descriptions of schools of magic that vary by region or culture will make your world feel vibrant and diverse. The magical association generator can create unique rocks¸ herbs¸ and other powerful natural items that you'll never find in any setting book. The ritual generator lets you know what the local superstitions are¸ while the elaborate ritual generator tells you just what the cultists are up to.
- The Elaborate Ritual Generator tells you just what it will take to summon that demon¸ ask the gods for strength¸ resurrect that loved one¸ or call down a storm of fire.
- The Magic Generator describes schools and styles of magic that go far beyond "ascetic psions" or "divine assassins."
- The Ritual Generator gives you simple rituals of the type the locals might perform to greet the new season or ask for luck in love.
- The Component Generator creates lists of components varying from gryffon claws to translucent blue gels to adder hearts.
- The Portal Generator lets you know what the mysterious magical gateway looks¸ sounds¸ and sometimes even smells like.
- The Association Generator describes magical woods¸ herbs and stones and more. A recent favourite of mine¸ "Aerach is a kind of rock associated with keys and witches. It also has connections with shadows¸ the rising sun¸ transformation¸ resurrection¸ solstices and deaths."
- The Rune Generator creates an image and a description of a rune¸ glyph¸ or arcane symbol of any time. Put your runes on a background of parchment¸ stone¸ bone¸ wood¸ and more.
