The new fundamental rune - Hardening¸ which steadily increases shields' Hardness¸ Hit Points¸ and Broken Threshold. 14 property runes adapted from specific magic shields¸ including Sturdy¸ Staff-Storing¸ Reflecting¸ and many others! Rules to convert other specific magic shields to this sub-system. Optional rules for Tower Shields and precious materials. Expansion of Automatic Bonus Progression variant rule to include auto-scaling shields.
