The Realm of the Gateway is a multi-genre game¸ with a unique setting that swings from sword and sorcery to spaceships and robots. The game consists of 4 core rulebooks. The First book is The Basic Rules. This book gives all the rules for play¸ from character creatuion to combat. Then there are the setting books. The Magic Realm: The land of high fantasy. Where Elves and dwarves fight side by side¸ keeping the forces of darkness at bay. Magic is a very real¸ and very powerful force in the Magic Realm. The Science Realm: Where the land meets the sky. Domed cities dot the land¸ strange and mysterious organizations lurk in the shadows¸ and unknown forces lie in deep space. Where humans¸ androids and cyborgs live and work side-by-side. The Death Zone: When magic meets science¸ the world goes mad. The Death Zone is a land of chaos¸ where probability itself shifts and warps reality. Even life is warped¸ with mutants living and dying striving to survive. The Basic Rules has all the rules needed for basic play: Character creation. Rules for skills and professions. Characters are built with skills¸ allowing every character to be unique. Rules for combat. Combat is tactical and deadly. Damage is based on how well you hit and where. Rules for the use of Willpower including over 20 psionic abilities. These are the base rules for magic and mutations. Dozens of creatures¸ some common to our world¸ other's unique to the lands.
