The Player's Codex is the player's only version of the book. It does not contain the game master info¸ the world setting¸ or the monster info¸ but the player info in both books is identical.
This Fantasy Role-Playing Game features a skill based character generation system¸ allowing players to generate a character that they want to play. Mix and match from among over 150 skills¸ with starting characters able to choose from among 5 different levels of proficiency in each skill¸ to create literally hundreds of different characters. Unique races are designed for maximum potential and many of the generic races have been given a new twist to take you back to a fantasy setting that remains mystical. Eight basic attributes¸ ranging from Strength to Agility to Luck¸ help further detail your character as most skills are based directly on your attribute scores and determine the speed at which you can advance your character. Characters continue to develop through the game¸ learning new skills and increasing current skills as you advance your character level. No limits on character level advancement means you can take your character to powerful new levels! The entire game is based on a percentile system for all attributes and skills.
